Roaring Twenties and the iconic novel were the inspiration behind this romantic Art Deco ring. The author of The Great Gatsby, F Scott Fitzgerald, began planning the novel in 1923, desiring to produce, in his words, "something new —something extraordinary and beautiful and simple and intricately patterned."
These values were in our mind when we started creating this ring, a contemporary take on this influential design style.
Handcrafted in Sydney in 18 karat white gold, the ring is set with an asscher cut green tourmaline of breathtaking beauty and diamond pave on the octagonal setting and the band. Octagon has deep symbolism and represents eternal life, as the number 8 is symbolic of renewal.
A contemporary alternative to the traditional diamond ring, Gatsby would make a striking engagement ring and pairs beautifully with a matching wedding band.
This ring can be custom made in white, rose and yellow gold or platinum, with a different central gem, eg white or coloured diamond, sapphire, spinel, emerald, ruby, tourmaline, morganite, aquamarine and many others.
